Joel Bates

Senior Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Accredited TPI Titleist Golf Practitioner

Joel graduated from the University of Sydney in 2005 and has over 13 years of clinical experience in both Australia and Singapore. He has lived with his family in Singapore over 6 years. His primary clinical focus is musculoskeletal injury and improving movement performance. This relates to sports and lifestyle areas such as runners, swimmers, weightlifters and everything in between. Like most Aussies, sport played a huge role in his childhood, so training, injury and the love of exercise still shape him as a Physiotherapist today.

Joel is heavily committed to professional development and learning from the best research we have. This constantly shapes his treatment approach. Tailoring that to the individual patient in the clinical setting is where 13 years experience comes in to provide realistic solutions to injury. Understanding pain and injury is both incredibly simple, yet endlessly complex! Treatment will always involve a mix of hands-on treatment and injury/person specific exercise. Long term health is not possible without exercise unfortunately! Outside of work, Joel loves his family, great food with great company, keeping fit and trying to make sense of the world around us!
