Dr. Simon Pratt

Simon is a Titled APA Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapist with a PhD in Body Representation of the back in healthy back pain-free individuals and people with chronic low back pain. Simon’s work has included lecturing in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at The University of Notre Dame Australia and Edith Cowan University and over 20 years working with patients in hospital and private practice settings. Simon also worked for several years as the Physiotherapist for the Western Australian Under-21 Men’s Hockey Team and served on the Western Australian Sports Physiotherapy Association Board from 2008 to 2013.
Simon is particularly interested in rehabilitation of upper and lower limb injuries, progressing rehabilitation from acute injury to end-stage return to function. Simon also enjoys working with patients in developing beginning stage exercise programmes for those interested in commencing or re-commencing exercise. Simon’s research has investigated into ankle and knee injuries, and body representation at the back.
Simon commenced work for Global Specialist Physiotherapy in 2014, consulting to private practitioners to help provide a second opinion, assist with complex cases, and deliver tutorials and lectures. Having completed studies in clinical Physiotherapy and education, Simon enjoys both teaching in Physiotherapy and working clinically in the area.
